I chose to not have my son circumsized and got some flak over it from both my and my wife's family.

There is the conception that uncut dicks are dirty. Some people equate uncut dicks with savages or undeveloped societies. There are religious reasons. There is, "I want my kid's dick to look like the other kids' dicks." Most if not all of the reasons are stupid if you ask me.

I made my choice based on my political principles, as I am a libertarian. I don't think one person is allowed to sever part of another person's penis without that person's consent. My son did not agree to it, if he ever does desire a piece of his dick to be cut off I guess I could help him at that point.

 

I feel like, since you can't control it, why should it matter? Treat it well, shower regularly and be safe and it's all good!

 

Both of my boys are intact and they have no problems having sex (both of them are currently in their 20's), no problems keeping it clean and no problems tearing. It's like anything else, you just have to know how to take care of it! :excited:

I am Due in August. In the event I birth a son. He will NOT be cut. My husband IS cut, but unlike most Americans, we don't "go with the flow". We make EDUCATED decisions for ourselves.

There is NO need for the procedure. I can tell you this. When my baby brother was born ( i was 18 so I remember clear as day) the doctor told my mother " oh, they don't feel a thing, they are soo small their nerves aren't devoloped" that is COMPLETE bull. I have seen videos of the procedure. The babies SCREAM till they cant breath. a nurse has to constantly keep blowing in their faces to remind them to breath. Their lungs fill we fluid, then eventually, their body goes into shock, and they stop crying.

Boys who are cut have a greater chance of something happening to their penis than a boy who is uncut.

They also loose a LOT of nerves in their penis when they are cut. and SOMETIMES will stop the bonding process!! (won't latch onto the mothers nipple)

At 1st my husband said he wanted the boy cut (so he could look like daddy) and I told him, well, Ill give you the information on it..and then you can make an informed decision. Needless to say, he decided that our son wouldn't be cut.

And Insurance is no reason. Most insurance companies, do not cover circumscions anymore ( its medically unnessary) is the whole " dont be different" thing is why they are whilling to pay for the procedure ( ignorant decision making)

Since I am from the USA, I was a minority since I was uncut. When I was in gym class and had to take showers only a few of us guys were not circumsized. Then once the foreskin becomes too loose for it to do that, then you have to clean in the shower (no scrubbing and only genital soap if any, the best is acually just pulling it back and rinsing with warm water(This is told by my doctor)) Now, I have never in my life had any problems with either infections or filth and I didn't start cleaning it in the shower until I started playing with it (age 9-10 I think)

- STD's Consider this, the biggest explotion of AIDS ever to hit the US happend in the 70's, where 80-85% of all men in the US was circumcised.

Now the cons:
- Intense pain inflicted on infants. Yes it is true that infants acually go into shock when circumcised.

- Hygiene. Consider the fact of how much you sweat during a day, just look at your socks where the mush gather between your toes. The same will happend with your cock and urinpipe in your underwear if you don't have the smooth foreskin.

- Sex. Just about all kinds of sex involving your cock gets worse from it. The foreskin helps during penetration, with all forms of fiction and moistens the head during masturbation.

- Sensitivity. Related to any kind of pleasure involving your cock. Do you know how I know? I remember how it was earlier. And I can feel a massive difference from the part that is almost always exposed and to the part underneath that is rarely exposed. I'm so thankful that I was circumcised, and if I ever have a son, I'll make sure he is too. An uncut penis looks like a disgusting dirty piece of meat, and all men should be trimmed. People that talk about the pain inflicted on the baby are morons. It's not anything they'll ever remember, and I sure as hell am glad I don't have to deal with a freaky looking member. Wee~ell, My husband is cut, but an uncut penis does not look wierd, or like a piece of meat, that's the way it's supposed to look.
